I offer teaching from years of learning to identify and resolve early trauma and regain my self-worth and confidence. I have spent years in therapy, where I learned the great value of embodying self-acceptance and self-kindness. Through the process, I discovered that “just like me,” others were suffering from a lack of understanding and feelings of not belonging. I was not alone.
Exploring inquiry-based meditation and integrated breathwork, I uncover subconscious beliefs and old hurts and start the life of healing each as they arise.
My study of Buddhist psychology is ongoing. The rewards; my sense of connection to the world grows daily. I am kinder to myself and others. Day by day, I continue to discover where clinging to things being a specific way affects my overall sense of well-being and how to release my grip. These lessons are the foundation from which I teach.
As a meditation and mindfulness practitioner, I have many roles, some of which include:
Guiding meditations for a Tele-Sangha group out of Washington DC.
An active member of the Mindfulness Hamilton facilitation team.
Teaching online and in-person classes on the Foundations of Mindfulness, Buddhist heart practices and RAIN practices.
Provide individual support, guidance, and mentoring.
Certificated as a teacher from the Awareness Training Institute and the Greater Good Science Center – at the University of California, Berkeley, my competencies include:
Interfacing mindfulness meditation with Western psychology.
Instruction of mindfulness meditation with tools for body, heart, and mind.
Mindfulness and self-compassion practices are specifically designed to address relationships, conflict, trauma, organizational wisdom, and societal change.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility.
Reparenting.
RAIN.
